When it comes to choosing a thread it can become overwhelming, especially for new/beginner sewists. To be completely honest & transparent with y'all, I didn't even realize how deep & detailed thread knowledge went until I started making this guide (I truly thought this guide would be a quick one to make too... HA). I also came to the realization that while doing all of this research I truly didn't know a damn thing about what thread really. For years I've just been blindly buying thread without actually knowing if I'm buying the right thread or the kind I like/need.
For example: I recently bought a 6 pack of white thread spools of amazon (just like I normally do), but this time when I started using it I noticed it was kind of annoying to use/ definitely different from the thread I normally use. When I finally looked up what I purchased (& looked at what thread I have & like using) I realized I purchased 100% cotton thread when I should have gotten 100% polyester. BUT OOPSIE, THIS IS TRULY SOMETHING I'VE NEVER PAID ATTENTION TO EVER! & l've never had any issues with thread until this thread & coming to that realization is how the idea for this guide was born!
I know there are others out there who are also probably guilty of this (common) mistake & also beginners who also don't have a clue when it comes to getting the right thread- so I did the research over the past few days so we can all learn together!! © I hope this guide comes in handy for you!
